Future search conferences

Econ Pöyry offers design, preparation and facilitation of large-scale future search conferences and simplified future search workshops.

Future search is a method for action planning around complex challenges with many stakeholders. The core of the method is to gather representatives of all relevant stakeholders in a creative joint conference where the aim is to reach common ground on what constitutes a good future, and the focus is on what each party can do to bring it about. A full-blown future search conference lasts for 3 days, and usually has 50-70 participants. In a simplified form, future search can also be successfully carried out in one day workshops. Successful future search strengthens a shared understanding of challenges and opportunities, and commits participant to coordinated action for the common good.
